The Guilder facilitates a local repair network and community exchange. Incoming broken objects are matched with repairers within The Guilder’s network, creating a a repair chain of worthy non-monetary exchanges. The ‘value’ of the exchange is up to the individual. Exchanges are documented and archived to lower the repair threshold and tap the existing local knowledge. The Guilder pushes against the notion that repair is not worth the work against the price of replacement.
