Cyclic Living

Nora Jongen

“I encourage cyclic living, so that women can realise their creative potential”

What: Rethinking the dynamics of the creative process according to the female menstrual cycle. Why: Divided into four phases, the female menstrual cycle influences a woman’s physical and mental wellbeing. Nora Jongen linked the accompanying changes in character and skills to the creative process and designed a new method for cyclic working. How: The four different spaces support working with the qualities of each phase: being intuitive in the menstrual phase, being energetic in the pre-ovulation phase, being social in the ovulation phase, and being reflective in the pre-menstrual phase. Four videos capture the different characteristics of one creative female.
