Flower Tower

Noa Harder

## “There’s a playful contrast between the almost architectural vase and the natural flowers extending its lines.”

Ceramics hold a special place in the history of Dutch design, with Delft Blue as an all time classic. Modern technologies can push the limits of this age-old craft, creating remarkable shapes with unprecedented precision. In a material study, Noa Harder researched ceramic connections, challenging herself to reproduce a wood corner joint in clay. Her ‘Flower Tower’ proudly presents what can be done with liquid stoneware and countless experiments. The design is inspired by the traditional Dutch tulip vase, with a separate opening for each flower. The loose parts can be endlessly combined into a sculptural vase in any size.
