No Flush Society

Nathan Fordy

"I want to enable a no flush society."

WHAT A scenario for a no-flush society, based on objects that redefine our approach to the treatment of human waste in a way that does not use up natural resources. HOW A fictive UN programme that inludes a grinder filled with organic materials, an organic bowl that works on a vacuum principle, a petrol station toilet voucher, a container for transporting human fertiliser, a medicine with a depollutant, and much, much more. WHY Nathan Fordy challenges society’s ‘flush and forget’ approach to toilets, which pollutes drinking water and breaks the cycle of nutrients. Huge quantities of natural resources are used to relocate bodily waste. To counter this, he aims to create a more sustainable alternative.
