Tear to Wear
Matti Paffen
Tear to Wear is a collection of garments promoting a personal sense of connection. As wearers go through an initial struggle that individually shapes their clothing, the project becomes a statement against fast, disposable fashion and redefines the relationship with what we wear. Designed to be torn when worn, these pieces foster a unique sense of beauty. As wearers break open the stitched fabric and create space for their bodies, this transformative experience encourages wearers to embrace imperfection. The narrative of the pieces becomes intertwined with the uniqueness of their wearers, creating a close bond of care and reflection.
