What is the value of things in a time of free sharing and open access? Possession will remain an essential way of defining who we are, says Marlies Kolodziey. However, it is not about what we buy, but how we relate to it. How we interpret it. ‘Hidden Values’ is a series of five objects that do not suggest a specific function but leave space for the imagination. Liberated from functionality, Marlies has designed five universal objects with the potential to become what one sees in them. The value of each object is revealed through individual exploration.
