What does it mean to have a digital version of yourself? Malou Sandig explores this question by creating a virtual body, with its own space and personality. EFI is an approachable introduction to a digital human, to how she lives, develops an identity and interacts. The urgency of this project lies in understanding the consequences of emerging technologies as they slowly surround us. How do we access these new forms of humanity, interaction and technology that connect fiction and the real world? We need to create a space to introduce virtual bodies, either online or offline. For many people, EFI is a digital body. But for some, it has a real character, a real opinion, and a real space in their private lives.
