Toilet

Léo Schlumberger

Léo Schlumberger has adapted the concept of a dry toilet to our European lifestyle and comfort. Setting out from an awareness of the ecological and economic impact of using water to flush out human excrement, Léo’s design redefines the ritual. Think, for instance, of its position in the home: freed from the need to be connected to the water mains, this ‘TOILET’ can be placed wherever the user feels most comfortable. The integrated step helps assume an ergonomically perfect position at all times. Rethinking many of our contemporary habits, taboos and inconveniences, this design turns a necessity into a ceremony.
