Léo Nunes Almeida

A performative installation invites exploring how a consistent knitting practice can unlock flow state and a sense of personal fulfilment.

Flow state is a state of complete absorption, where one is fully present, loses track of time, and finds joy and satisfaction. Research shows it enhances well-being, productivity, and clarity, and reduces stress. Léo Nunes Almeida's practice-based research revealed that knitting can be a transformative activity that induces flow. Showcasing the outcome of this research process, his performance and installation are a celebration of the profound sense of accomplishment that follows consistent practice and challenging exercises. Now Almeida would like to guide others to experience the same transformative state and is inviting individuals and groups alike to explore the potential of knitting to unlock flow.
