"Water is a valuable resource which is becoming increasingly scarce. 'Aquifer' invites festival visitors to reconsider consumption choices in relation to a product's water footprint. Next to displaying physical infographics, the project challenges consumers to purify water themselves and to take part in a ritual of collecting water.

Designed for the sustainable festival 'De Parade', 'Aquifer' focuses on the appreciation of water as a resource and aims to playfully create an awareness around the consumption of products according to their use of water, which tends to be surprisingly high since it considers the whole cycle of production. Visitors can experience the time and effort it takes to collect water in relation to the most commonly consumed products at 'De Parade' and on a daily basis."
