Hyperburgers
Regardless of how politically and ecologically conscious we are, the global supply chain keeps on unfolding its ecocide through our consumer bodies, every day, just by walking into the supermarket. Stuck in the status of helpless consumer and citizen, Francesca Tambussi designed a utopian store that relies on a peer-to-peer supply chain. Hyperburgers is an ‘inconvenience’ store. A real shop where alongside the message ‘take’, there’s ‘give’; where ease is replaced with engagement. Recognising the practice of commoning as central to building a post-capitalist society, the project challenges the comfortable delusion of individualism with a trial-and-error approach to togetherness.
