10:1

Christian Hammer Juhl

Increasing urbanisation means that our living environment is becoming smaller. We occupy fewer square metres and move around more often. It’s time for a new type of furniture to fit in with this modern lifestyle. ‘10:1’ by Christian Hammer Juhl is designed to deflate when needed. The furniture is made of a dense foam that can be compressed to 10 percent of the original size using the suction power of a vacuum. Instead of being stuck with a living space in a set state, it’s fluid; ours to shape as we please.
