Nightfall

Monsters crawl from society's dark corners onto a hazy stage where anyone is allowed. Their ambiguous presence blurs the lines between human and creature, lust and disgust, fear and familiarity, carrying a potential for transformation and transgression. Could they be the object of our desire? Could we desire to become them? ‘Nightfall’ is an interdisciplinary project where the transformative potential of costume merges with stripping, storytelling, photography and video. Morphing between ferocity, seduction, tenderness and introspection, the monsters inhabit the unfamiliar spaces in between. Fantasy lets us imagine beyond the confines of reality, shaping our world in turn. Laura Viltoft Overgaard uses worldbuilding to imagine beyond our norms.
